Everyone has something special to offer.
Bravo to those who have found that special something in themselves.
For the rest– Keep dreaming, believing in yourself, and trying out new things.
I truly believe that we can figure out our purpose if we keep dreaming, believing, and of course trying.
This blog is one such action and commitment to myself. I love writing – writing is my creative outlet, an outlet that I use less nowadays.
We are amazing creatures in that we learn better when the need or rather a perceived need exists. Therefore, I intend on using his blog to help me keep my mind open to new things – to learn and to share.
To introduce myself, I am a thinker, a dreamer, and an avid learner. I also love conversations – conversations that make us (both me and my conversation partner) think more, dream more, lift us up more, and push us more.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from Institute of Forestry, Tribhuvan University, Nepal and a Master’s degree in Forestry and Ph.D. in Natural Resource Economics from West Virginia University. I worked in a wonderful NGO Namsaling Community Development Center (NCDC) before I started my graduate education. I am a researcher, a teacher, a mentor, a writer, an editor, a project coordinator, a facilitator, and a problem solver.
When I am assigned with a problem to be solved, there is nothing that excites me more. Some of the tips and tricks that I value most and will share with you through these posts are the outcomes of learning to solve those problems.
I will also use this blog to share my thoughts about everything under the sun (at least that is what I think at this point) . While each one takes their own journey, there are always crossroads where we can sit down, share, and learn from each other. I hope to see a pattern of my thoughts through this journey and hope that this blog can not only help me but quite a few of you out there.
When I finally set out to start this blogging site, I came across this page which lists 7 Reasons to start a personal Blog by Heidi Cohen. If I made a checklist, I could check off on most of the reasons on why I decided to start this blog. Your comments and your thoughts will be invaluable in this journey.
So let this journey begin!
